DPPA Enhanced Benefits Package

Data Processing Professional Association (DPPA) is responsible for making the wishes of people who are in Representation Unit 028 heard by those who give enhanced benefits. The following list is the items that the Board plans to pursue for future enhanced benefit package above and beyond that presently provided to workers. Some of the enhanced benefits involve new county costs while others require no or little additional costs. Some even add money to the County.
POSTIVE TO COUNTY
- Let County employees purchase items from surplus equipment
NO COST TO COUNTY
- Guaranteed vested lifetime Retirement Health and Dental Care Subsidy
LITTLE COST TO COUNTY
- County to develop and administer a group long-term disability (LTD) insurance program with employees paying insurance premium cost
- P.C. Loan program – Set aside money to be loaned to County employees for purchase of computer.
- Make parking free for employees with Representation Unit of 028
- Increase in Transit subsidy
COST TO COUNTY
- County to pay one-half of workers’ current share of contributions to county employees’ retirement plans
- The ability to buy up to one-half of your sick leave at retirement
